Hope – Cause of the Month March 2010

0

Grace Fellowship United Methodist ChurchEveryone needs water, air, food, a safe place to live. But something else, a little less tangible, but so important is needed. Percy Bysshe Shelley said  “Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air, but only for one second without hope.”  At Kosmos, we support ministries that give hope to the hopeless, and comfort to the brokenhearted.

March is Grace Fellowship month at Kosmos Coffee! Every month, Kosmos Coffee gives away all of its profits to organizations that meet needs locally and around the world in the name of Jesus Christ. During the month of March, 100% of the profits will go to two wonderful Grace Fellowship ministries: Orphan’s Hope and Light of the Islands. That means every time you purchase a latte, cup of coffee, a frozen drink or pastry from Kosmos, you are directly supporting these ministries that meet needs in the name of Jesus. Join us!

Kosmos is located at The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch Peek Road entrance. 22765 Westheimer Parkway Katy, TX 77450-8675 Directly across from the Katy Family YMCA.

Orphan’s Hope

Orphan’s Hope encourages and enables Christ followers to put their faith in action, by stepping out to adopt internationally. There are millions of children waiting for families to adopt them, but families often find foreign adoption restrictive due to the huge financial barrier.  The Orphan’s Hope Fund was designed to assist Grace Fellowship families reduce the financial barrier associated with foreign adoptions.

Light of the Islands

hope-thumbLight of the Islands funds native Indonesians who minister to the Ban*jar people group of Indonesia.  The Ban*jar people are located in the 10/40 Window on the Island of Borneo, Indonesia.  There are over 3.9 million Ban*jar people and 99% are Muslim.  Grace Fellowship adopted the Ban*jar in 2004 and has committed to pray, give, and go until 5% are believers in Christ.
