Clean Water – Cause of September 2020: Living Water International

1

Clean Water – You can live without food for up to forty days, but without water, only about seven days. We need clean water to survive. Clean water is inaccessible to about 884 million people around the globe. Through organizations like Living Water and through well-drilling in places like Guatemala and Mozambique, Kosmos® supports efforts to bring people water to drink, as well as the “living water” of Jesus Christ.

Living Water International exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience “living water”— the gospel of Jesus Christ — which alone satisfies the deepest thirst.

For Living Water, it is all about Jesus. It is about demonstrating God’s love, announcing His kingdom, seeing Jesus in the least of our brothers and sisters, offering a cup of water in Jesus’ name and proclaiming His gospel, the living water. Visit Living Water International: www.water.cc

I liked that adapation of that famous saying that you used by an unknown author; ““Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air,but only for one second without hope.” I first heard it back in the seventies quoted by an author named Hal Lindsey.it has stayed with me and it is quite relevant in these days.
I find a lot of thing I come across interesting and I am not spiritualizing. For one, in the saying above, three days without water, Jesus was in the tomb three days, He was dead! Another unrelated thing but related to mission work and to getting water to folks that need it. A geoligist frind of mine told me once that in their search for oil they encounter four kinds of clay by color he said, “red. black, white and yellow.” and it reminded me of the song I learned as a child, “Jesus Loves the Little Children.” Didn’t mean to preach, just some thoughts
